Hi All
Just about to do the final assembly on the front end of the GTM. I have Minisport alloy hubs that use the Metro ball joints top and bottom. Can anyone advise on how to correctly fit the lock tabs? There appears to be no flat to fit the big washer over on the hub so I'm stuck a bit. Not going to contact them about it obviously!

I was thinking I might have to do that. With such a massive thread I guess 243 loctite would be sufficient?

Also, just be very careful which ball joints you use.

I've found there's many Metro Ball Joints out there that don't have enough swivel angle in them to use in a Mini. This would result in broken ball joints.

I can say the QH ones don't have enough angle but the Delphi ones do.

I got mine from Minispares. I will check them though, thanks for the warning!

Old post resurrection! Did you get on ok with the Loctite 243? I’ve the same hubs and looking at the same problem. Only thing is I’ll also be running the KAD ball joint droppers.

I've been using 243 on my regular Mini Ball Joints for some time now. As long as both threads are clean when you apply it, it'll work fine. I use paint thinners to clean them.

If you are unsure, assemble a set and leave them overnight, then undo one. If you do this, be sure to disassemble, clean and reapply the 243.
