I have an F16CR gearbox in mine with an F18WR 5th gear for cruising which works well. Its been a C20NE then C20XE and I've recently turbo'd it and the gearbox is still holding up ok.

Hi,

If you're going to run carbs I wouldn't have thought the vauxhall engine loom would be much use?

What are you doing for sparks?

Cheers  :proud:

Hi,

Personally I'd always go injection. You can use the throttle bodies with injectors in off a bike. A good stand alone ECU and loom will have you pretty much sorted on the 16v

Don't know what the current ignition system on the 8v is.

I'd recommend VEMS as there's a good on-line community to help you get up and running and no expensive cable and software to talk to the ECU.

Cheers  :proud:

Hi,

Failing that you could cut up and weld a plenum on to the Vauxhall manifold and make it even easier?

Cheers  :proud:
