Spi 1995 Huge Consumption, And Technical Control Refused

Best Answer gdudu , 27 October 2018 - 10:48 AM

Hello

Good new, the technical control for pollution was OK, The CO was about 0.3  :-)

Bad news :

The technical control was not accepted cause of oil drops. The new rules don't accep this, and the techicien told me that with an english car it would be impossible ....

And now, I have a problem when I accelerate : there is a big hole and the motor loses all power and frequently stalls

I have reseted the ECU with readmems (readmems.exe com3 interactive and OxFA), but this is the same

I have made a little log file attached

Please respond with pictures as requested. Then we can start tests and adjustment. There may be defective parts.

Yes yes, that's done

But for the iddle I think I've find. The little screw with stop was completely at the stop (sorry for my english) - Last picture

I have corrected this, and now it's OK for iddle

You have the picture before, and the rosco log file I've done after (cannot read it, how do you do this ?)

Two log files : 20 mn on the road, with almost cold start, and 10 mn iddle only

Well I think it could be OK now, but for CO I didn't do anything, I don't know if it could be OK. I will go and see on monday I think

Have you already checked the size of the nozzle from old injection unit and new one.Stft is always on minus when engine is idling.Either iac is not working or nozzle is to big.  Defective IAC would explain why you couldn't set rpm with mems-rosco.

You may read the logs with mems analyzer as well.

Please download newest version from rmrsoft.com

My iddle is correct now, that was the set screw only

But, no, even with last version, I cannot open a memsrosco log file with MEMSAnalyser. I have a runtime error and exit. Windows 10-64

Very strange, i can download and read the log with mems-analyzer.

I think it was not a good idea tochange the setting of the set screw.

Please read this http://www.theminifo...otor-operation/

No, the set screw was already unsetted when I changed all injection last year.

I had set it at middle, with motor off, just to see.

When I started motor, after time for motor to heat, and it was 850 rpm. I think the stepper is entered into action, to regulate, and I had no need to touch it, it was OK

I think there is something else to do now, perhaps reseting the ECU

And my consumption and CO, I don't now, but I have done nothing

@ Sprocket:what do you think about iac and rich burning

nozzle has right size

carbon canister valve is working

all graphs seem to be ok

but stft is only to low when idling

Log file with MEMS Analyser on right is Hexadecimal while Log file with MEMS-ROSCO is a delimited file. Perhaps there is a version change in MEMS Analyser or MEMS ROSCO as i too cannot read the ROSCO log file with MEMS Analyser.

With regard to the iddle stop adjustment, this is where I was trying to get. It is clear that this car has been messed with, not necessarily by the current owner/ garage, but the owner/garage before, maybe even owner/ garage before previous owner/ garage.

I need to work out how to read ROSCO log file.

I still think there are tune issues that need solving, iddle stop adjustment is only one

I can not read ROSCO file.

Please index stepper and adjust pedal cable. Explained here http://www.theminifo...on/#entry241579

Please adjust pedal cable. Cold engine.

  • Turn on the ignition. Position II. Do not start the engine
  • Operate the throttle mechanism fully open and close, under the hood only, not the pedal
  • Adjust the pedal cable. Loosen the threaded part and two nuts (see photo)

  • Adjust the length of the cable. Center pin of lost motion link (see Image).

  • Make nuts tight

  • Turn off the ignition

  • Listen to the clicks of the stepper motor, watch the throttle open with a stepper motor

Make a log with MEMS-ROSCO and the engine stopped. Press the pedal, release the pedal. With MEMS-ROSCO, move the bypass motor to idle 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, 75%, 50%, 25%, 0%

Report. To come, some adjustments are still necessary

Hi Ok

I'll do that tomorrow

But I don't understand all

When you says With MEMS-ROSCO, move the bypass motor to idle 25% This is with button "idle decay" ??
