Finally got my hands on a genuine AutoPlas louvre for the rear window  :gimme:  I have wanted one for god knows how long! proper chuffed as they have either been replicas or silly money for the real deal. The last genuine one I saw was painted Yellow, damaged and missing the fitting kit but went for £150 and few months before that one went for £232!

A replica one sold about a month back and even that went for £137 (£135 new from ABS)

Anyway, I have the original side tab thingys and the middle bar with tabs, but how exactly do I put it on?... all I know the tabs go under the window rubber...

From what I can gather looking at it, the middle bar goes on the window first and then the side tabs stay on the louvre, but the middle bar is so tight on the louvre I can't see it flexing enough without it cracking to get the middle bar back in!

I'm half tempted to just bond it on

Cheers

On your bike!  :P

I figured it out in the end. Pretty easy really, I was just worried about cracking it but all good and looks  :mrcool: although it is nice and secure I think I am still going to use just a bit of double sided thin foam pad on the tabs

Do you still have that super clean Orange/Red Metro? A louvre on that would be even cooler!

I had an 8 year break from minis, I was amazed when I rejoined the scene to see people would actually pay money for the parts we laughed at a decade before! Weller wheels and louvre grills what happened? Lol

Weller wheels, another cr4p aftermarket accessory, rusting white painted steel wheels, the ruin of many a Mini and Landrover!

I've got weller white wheels, front and rear nudge bars and I'm looking for a reasonably priced louvre rear window, how uncool am I, I've also got headlight peaks that most people hate. God knows what they say about my sun visor!!!! I think I should keep it locked in the garage before it gets a complex!!!!
