Doesn't need one. Its an earlier car, the lambda is for the 7 port injection ECU and was my choice to fit it.

No CAT... Cheeky
This is what they are referring to. The lambda sensor in the Y piece as opposed to the centre downpipe.
Hi, sorry but not sure what you mean by that?
Fair play 🙂

Also, Jarvey - what ECU are you getting? Ive thought about getting one but the prices are so high.
I have ordered the Specialist Components MPI ECU & 50mm Throttle Body Kit with their Super Sport Cylinder Head!
Yeah much pennies! But once you have a mapable ECU it opens up more tuning options for the engine, be it turbo or supercharged it will benefit from a decent ECU. Even a standard engine will run better ... apparently.

I'm extremely surprised they advised you to have a 50mm throttle body!

How come Steve? What's wrong with it?! Haha

The 50mm throttle body is great if you're going to spend a lot of time at very high revs but if you're building a tractable road engine and want torque especially with an SW5 cam, you'll be far better off with the 45mm throttle body.

NP has pretty much hit the nail on the head. SC said they only recommend the 50mm TB for applications over 100bhp, otherwise you'll lose torque.

Interesting! I wasn't advised what would be best for a daily road going engine. Although I did say end goal is running their Rotrex charger kit and they use the 50mm body as standard in that kit so maybe that is why.
Does 5mm on the diameter really make that much difference then?!
I am not planning on running an SW5i I am thinking of using a CST RE13OT or an ACD RS with 1.4 rockers.

Oh dear haha I didn't know this! Doh!
Might be making a little phone call now!

Its not the cam, its how hard and how long you're going to rev it over 7,500 revs. If you're going to force a lot of fuel in because it's turbo or supercharger then use the 50, otherwise stay away from it.

I run a 50mm, SW5, 93lbft of torque from 2k to 7k.

Have you tried it with a 45? I was down at AP Tuning in Norwich when they did the back to back tests using the SW5 with the 45 and the 50 and while the 50 was drivable, the 45 gave far greater torque.

I'd love to see the curves from that testing Mr. 7-port. Hell, I'd love to see any dyne runs with the SC kits. Especially one with a before and after the install.
Now, back on topic a bit: I wrote Maniflow about having a Lambda ported added to the Y-pipe and they said it would be no problem BUT said that, in their experience, the sensor doesn't work well there. Said the exhaust is too cool at that point. They said they would add a port there and supply a plug for it so I could swap from upper to lower locations and see what works.
