How far along the block did you go with yours Jonny?
Also brass plugs or steel?
I have blocked everything, i don't see why you wouldn't do the whole lot unless you wanted it to look period/for rules etc.
I have used brass allen plugs, selection of m8 m12 and m14. Head and block are completely blocked. I'm also now using a cometic 'dry deck' gasket as i think it gives better gasket integrity not having the holes in it.

Oil feeds still there, was just talking water!
