That's gorgeous!!! Nicely done. Had you got a before pick?
Also what amps in the alternater?
YetI
..it only arrived on Friday and within 1/2 an hour I started to file it flat..the machined top is mostly as it came apart from a quick buff..the front and sides where lightly polished but you could see and feel ripples which let it down..ive spent about 14 hours to get it like this..overall its a nice part just needed more tlc..as for the before pic I didn't take one i was to eager to put it right ..alternator is a 40 amp..Thanks..

Not sure if you're aware, but coil springs can be problematic on road cars apparently. There's a few threads that cover some of the issues that people have seen
http://www.theminifo...sion/?p=3561233
Thanks for the info....I am unsure myself on these...it came fitted with them so i thought i'd give them a go and see..from the brief drive i had before this resto if felt as mini should...i noticed on the failed images the adjusters are out of the alloy cones alot and that they all look like theyve been driven hard..my cones have been shortened so i can get the adjuster in deeper and get it lower...when its together i will see and if its not right they will get replaced with rubber ....
