I'm sure you could fabricate something, but speak to your insurers to be sure they'll offer you cover. 

 

How about seats with the belts built in, as  found in Minibuses etc? They tend to be compact so a pair may fit with the legs chopped off (seats not kids). Likely to be easier to fit, but they won't fold.

You do take all the fun out of it Ethel!  :lol:  :lol:  :lol:

I tried fitting a rear cage in my traveller and the problem was the bars going to the top of the rear arches meant you had to cut out most of the panel that goes up the side of the rear seat with the catch at the top. If you can get something made that goes around that problem then I can't see a reason why you won't be successful  :proud:
