One of the circuits in my rotary coupler failed. The horn worked if I set off the alarm, but the buttons didn't work.

There are 6 circuits in the Coupler, but only 2 are used. Power for horn, and earth.

What I did, was to find which circuit had failed with a multimeter. Then with a precision screwdriver, patience, and time; I managed to remove the pin from the connector on the back of the Coupler, and the corresponding pin on the horn button connector. Then I simply inserted them into a different location in the connectors. Thus utilising one of the unused circuits in the Coupler.

Worked perfectly.

Here's some pics that may help.

Here you can see the black horn button socket on the front of the coupler, and the white connector from the back just poking its head above.

Here's the horn button connector. There's a hinged flap on the back that has to be released before you attempt to remove the pin.

And here's the one that goes into the back of the coupler. It also has the flap.

The earth (black) wire circuit was faulty on mine. So on both connectors I moved those wires one space along.
