Hi Matt,

Thank you for sharing information on Mr Bean mini. I am a big Mr Bean fan, have the t shirts, wallet, watch, posters etc just missing replica Mr Bean mini. I have been searching to buy a replica Mr Bean mini for about 5 years now, do you know anybody selling one? my last resort is to buy a donor car and find a classic mini specialist to build one for me.

Hello

Again nice work you have done to the Mini Matt, also on all of the history.

I tough I could share some of my knowledge about Mr.Bean Mini’s

This is probably not any useful information, but I tough I could share it anyway.

1:

The Mini YAN 939T is at the Dezer collection in Florida. It was on display in Miami for a few years, but now it has moved to Orlando, Florida. The Dezer collection is opening a big new car museum there. When the Mini was in Miami it could apparently be rented for 25 000 dollars a month.
Hopefully it won’t be long until the museum opens so we can see some updated pictures of the Mini.
I have tried to contact them but I haven’t got any answer.

2:

In the Rema 1000 adverts there is a Mini, this is not registered in Norway at the moment. There is one car that I haven’t investigated yet ( that I know of ), so there might be a hope that it’s still alive. I really believe that it is an Norwegian Mini that was used, the store is Norwegian with Norwegian products and actors inside and the Mini has what looks to be a 1971 to 2001 number plate.
I have asked Rema 1000 but no one that works there now know anything about the adverts.

3:

The Mini that was build for Goodwood 2009 and used in Mr.Bean 25 is now owned by BMW, at least they have had it at a few car shows.
In October 2019 that Mini was at Oslo Motor Show in Norway, sadly it was announced that the Mini they had there was THE original Mr.Bean Mini. I have also seen this Mini at a show were it was surrounded by BMW’s.

( I have photos of this Mini, but for some reason I have problems posting them)

I hope this answers the question you never asked.

   Andreas

Probably the only ever scene where 2 main star cars are seen together is in "The Curse of Mr Bean", as Rowan pushes the mini through the traffic lights you see another mini "YAN 939T presumably"  in the background parked in a car park (probably not intended to appear in the scene but in fact an accident). But this was when they was meant to only have the one car so they must of had 2 from the start as its too much of a co incidence that it happens to be a mini in the same green with a black bonnet.

This has nothing to do with the original Bean Mini, but Mr.Bean in the Rema 1000 advert from 1994.

In early October 1993 was Rowan Atkinson on a ‘’working Holliday’’ in Norway. He was most likely around Oslo as he wanted to meet a friend there, he was also on a NRK series promoting his VHS films about Mr.Bean.

Where the advert was filmed is unknown to me, but it can be in Trondheim or Fredrikstad area as well as Oslo.
I haven’t found anything about the Mini that was in the advert.
I have asked Rema 1000, but no help from them.

If I find anything more I will post it here if there is any interest in that.

That Armchair Mini and the Mini owned by BMW are not the same Mini. See original opening post.

Nice photo, thanks for sharing. I also would like to know more about the Rema 1000 Mini, but the licence plate is unreadable. It would be a miracle if we get more information about it am afraid.

Does anyone has more information about the Mini used in 2015 Mr Bean Funeral?

Mr Beans Minis:-

http://mk1-forum.net...php?f=5&t=34125

Quote below from the last poster in the Mk1 forum link above:-

"At some point I was involved in the Mr Beans movies and sold 3 minis for the filming crew in Mr Beans Holidays in 2006. They wanted the exact same model, including glasses marking. I sold 3 850 pristines 70's metallic green minis.
They cut one in half and only kept the front, cut another one in the 'other' way in order to have internal lateral shot, and the last one was kept as is, for external shots.
At the end of the filming, they offered me the cars for free, but didn't had the time to pick them up, they were in the filming location, in Marseille."
