I don't know how it is called in English, but the part is used to give every candle an electric signal in certain moment of time. It has a spining part which forms contacts. The question is: what is the width of gap between the spinning part and body of this part. Thank you for the answer.

I think he's refering to the rotor arm and the spark gap between the rotor arm and the contacts in the dizzy cap.
Sorry, I don't actually know what this gap is, but I'm sure somebody can answer this for you.

well....you can't really do anything about it either way can you?

can you post a picture of the part u mean????
if its points gap the contacts it should be 15 thou apart (about 0.37mm if my maths is correct!! if its rotor arm to dizzy cap i dont see ho you could measure it accurately!! just replace them its only a couple of quid!!
