Roll Over Jig

Is it sufficient to build a jig with or would I be looking for something more substantive?
My main worry is would it flex at all if used as the support between the towers on the front subframe. Would I be able to get away with it or should I buy a thicker box or just weld two lengths together and that would be strong enough?
Cheers!

I was going to corner brace everything. Either because I didn't think it would be strong enough, or my welds!

I ended up buying a jig from Rolleroverjigs. Best thing i've done! Could not be faffed with spending all that time cutting and welding. I've also got the self loading tool which means I can do it all myself

I have the same jig as James and apart from a circular plate and a couple of long flat bars, is entirely made of 25x25x3mm and 50x25x3mm square tube. So if you follow that design you should be fine.

I made a jig and mounted the whole thing on a couple of old joists and put a heavy duty castor at each corner. Really useful for moving the thing around.

These look great. I assume the ready built ones are expensive. How exactly do these mount? Any more photos would be interesting to see.

We paid £250 for ours although it was a while ago. It picks up on the tower mounts and toeboard on the front. At the back it connects to the shock towers and also to the parcel shelf.

Decided to crack on and build one myself. Just need to get the mini in the rear garden to do so, which is easier said than done as its going via my neighbours garden. Hopefully soon, just got to find 2 or 3 other people to take the short but heavy walk with me!

£300 doesn't seem to bad an investment considering how much easier it would make access to cutting and welding etc. I may ask for it for xmas. Lol

I second rollover jigs, bought one for my project. Aiming to use it on a TR6 next. Great investment.
