Has anyone used a k11 1.4 engine insted of the 1.3 iv been offered one?!?!

They have been done, the main difference is that the gearbox is bigger, so either more work or you need the 1.3 gearbox. The '1.4' is actually 1.348, so I don't think it's really worth the effort.

Certainly cheaper to buy a low mileage 1.3 for £500 if you have space to break it up for parts to punt on.

There's loads of wierdos into their K11s, cheap to buy and run and decent cars, so there's enough demand that you'll do very well to get a low mileage one down near £100.

There's no point buying a higher mileage cheaper one, when the cars are so cheap, which is why I suggested spending a bit more.

If you do that and break it for parts you'll then have a budget to help cover the other bits you need, so it's arguably a better option than just buying the engine.
