Will all oversize pistons on offer now fit both A series and A+ conrods.

Generally, yes, however there are a small number of 'exotic' pistons around that have bigger Pins for the aftermarket Rods, but they are usually spelt out.

You need to check that your rods you have intend to use have sufficient and interference fit with the gudgeon pin to remain securely in place. For road use a minimum of 0.0008" is required. Better to have at least 0.001".

In considering the Pin to Rod fit, this is important, but also and equally the fitting force needed to press the pin in all the way, ie, if the Rod has previously been heated for fitting Pins, then it could well have the required interference, but not the Minimum Grip needed (as as spec'ed by the Factory). The Factory advice on fitting the Pins by the way, is to do them with Cold Rods so that this can be tested and the Rods are not damaged.

The factory Churchil tooling and manual gives a minimum torque figure for winding the pins in.
