Better handling
Look better with chrome bumpers (in my opinion, 13's look too big unless you are kitting it)
less pressure on bearings and that
Cheaper tires
less tramlining
Overall a better wheel. Does that make your mind up!!!

God its not that hard to park with em, even my gf can do it lol
Go for 7x13s
Look much nicer
Handle well with the extra rubber
More people like 7x13s so your car will sell better when u come to get rid
suit minis better, as they fill the arches better

Well just dont get a 10 inch wheel lol
I know there better 4 going fast but they aint very practical.
Keep with 12inch wheels (STEERING WHEELS)

any 13's are fashion over function, tramlining, aquaplaning, wheel bearing destroying and over priced!
As 4 destorying the wheel bearings, ive only replaced the fronts once in a year and half! , and it only costs around 80 quid to get em both sorted + Parts..
Go for 10×6s! But 12×6s are the next best thing.
13s look silly on non-bodykitted cars
Tyres cost more
Tramlining, you don't want wrap your car round a tree, do you?
Only £80 + parts? that's ~£100 that you could be spending on something useful! Like alcohol! err, petrol ...
13s take forever to accelerate, and destroy that beautiful Mini handling.

which wheels will be the cheapest to maintain
i no there will always be extra unexpected costs, but out of the two which will be the least expensive
im basing my car on looks, but im on a budget so i dont want something that will ruin the technical aspects of my car

Still out handle pretty much any car on the road with 13s.

That or Continentals, but they are a bit pricey.
Well I would say 7x13 all the way, because I want Starmags.
I think its down to driving preference. My brother prefers 13s as they have more rubber on the road, giving more grip, but my dad prefers 12s as the steering is lighter.
We must have a track test on otherwise similar cars to decide which is best.
Saying that though, 10s would probably win, but tyres for them are expensvie, and converting a 12" wheel car to 10s would cost even more than a new set of 7x13s as you need at least discs, pads and calipers.

10's and 13's have roughly the same contact area with the tarmac 'because the rolling diameter of the low profiles on the 13's is about the same as that on most 10's, and the 10's will 'flatten out' more 'because there's more air in them so you get a nice big patch of rubber.
I have Michelins on my non-Mini car and they've been C**p since they were fitted, especially in the wet. Almost no traction pulling away.
Yoko's are great IMHO. A038r's are good in the wet but even better in the dry. Never known a better tyre. And they're nice and quiet. But tyres for 10's aren't expensive. Even the Yoko's are only about thirty quid each.
As you can see Miniboy03, there's not much in it. It's kind of a personal choice thing. It's about what you think looks good, what you think drives well and what you can afford.
But check with your insurance company. 13's will cost more to insure I would think.
