to be honest a stage 2 is just head work(oo er) i think so really yo want to get a stage 1 then do head mods or do it all together. does that make sense? not sure if it is even right

simple Answer is you don't need a stg1 kit to put stg2 on....Though it'd be advisable.. as a stage 1kit will usually unmask some little problems the engine might have... so fixing these are a good idea before bolting on stage2.

However A stage 2 kit usually is usually a stage 1kit but with the following differnces.

Replacement Head.
Different needle than stage 1.
possibly roller rockers.

Things that will also come with stg2 are generally just stage 1 parts anyway:

decent Intake Manifold
LCB
Exhaust system
Air filter.

Don't forget to get your car rolling roaded, or it's all a waste of time.

A stage 2 kit generally comprises of everything you get in a stage one kit(airfilter, inlet, exhaust etc) plus a modified cylinder head. Some companys also offer the option of twin carburettors as part of the stage 2 kit at extra cost. If you already have a stage one kit then you only need the cylinder head to upgrade to stage 2 spec(plus the neccesary fuelling adjustments). :ermm: Hope this helps :w00t:

Beaten to it :'( Need to learn to work this pooter thing faster :w00t:

How much will a Stage 1 kit increase your insurance for a new driver?

Not a lot if you don't tell them!

(But of course I wouldn't advocate that)

It will differ between insurance companies... ring up and ask them first!
