Hi,

I think you should get away with just connecting the red wire to the horn push. Tape the black one up out of the way.

Cheers  :proud:

No, planning to keep it as I appreciate they're getting harder to find & rising in price as a result. Future owners will likely value original parts.

Further research reveals that it's a *2.7 ohm* resistor I need to ensure the SRS light goes off.

Not really as its costing less to have them retrimmed.

Retrimming is more cost effective if you have a wheel to retrim. Trying to find a genuine Sportspack wheel for a car which came fitted with an aftermarket item is already getting difficult / expensive.

Bat, I'll have a play over the weekend cheers. A horn push with 2 terminals may end up being the way ahead.

Looks like I'll be discarding the horn ring which came with the MGF boss, leaving the rotary coupler in place & wiring directly from the horn connector block to the hornpush. We'll see how we get on!

Have you tried looking for MGF / MGTF wheels?

Hi,

Yes, mine has just got a hole in it for the clock spring to come though.

The spare wires are stored in the boss.

Your horn push should earth through the metal work...

Cheers  :proud:

How is the Sportspack wheel different?

Wiggy - Secondhand wooden wheels from MGF's & TF's are generally £150-200 on ebay. They obviously fit, but they're a different design & not as attractive as a Moto-Lita to my eyes.

Bobbins - Sorry mate, not sure what you mean?

Is the Sportspack wheel not just the same as other MPi wheels?

If they are that's good news, although a check of the online auction sites suggests Mpi wheels in general are pretty scarce, and expensive when they do come up for sale.

All MPi wheels are similar. The Mgf wheel is a slightly different profile but will accept the Mini airbag.

They do come up, I've just bought a "new old stock" MPi wheel through eBay, agreed £50 which I thought was very reasonable.
