Is the AP calliper version worth it over the Minispares own kit?

Notice the Minisport kit uses OEM caliper part numbers but they are non genuine calipers in the kit...

Just so I understand you post, dont all sellers sell non genuine calipers with their 200ish pound kits? Or do you mean theyre just faking it (minisport alone)

Yes they all sell non genuine calipers in the cheap kits but Minisport use genuine part numbers which is a bit misleading.

One is made by AP, the other is made by Minispares (or their supplier). I have the latter and they work well, but then they only did a few miles before the car was stripped for refurb.

ah thats too bad. I sometimes wonder what the real difference is.... If the tolerances are better or the material is of higher quality or if its just a better quality control at the end :/

No experience with these kits in particular. However in general I find Minispares parts to be better quality than Minisport.

That is what I wondering too, is it really worth the extra money to get the kit with AP callipers or stick with the minispares own.

They do the Same with bearings..

Also, cant imagine there are 2 companies supplying minispares with calipers.

There's probably one OEM producing everything for minispares/sports/sommerfords/Huddersfield etc... So all the kits are 99% the same

You couldn't be more wrong I'm afraid, we have our own manufacturer for our MS calipers and the genuine calipers are AP. The same applies for all our other parts where we have a genuine and MS version.
