The smaller kick plates in original post above were fitted on Australian built Mini which had different smaller height door pockets and winding windows on Mk1 external hinge doors long before the UK got the Mk3 door with winding windows internal hinges but no pockets.

These are the standard full size Mk1 metal kick plates:-

The Austin kick plates were always silver metal and adopted across the board after 1961. Before that Morris Minis had black plastic kick plates with a chrome edge trim.

So do you need some for a pair of Aussie windup window doors? I wouldn't have though they would fit any other types of doors

Yeap, they are from Aussie Doors.

They also used the same kick plate on the Authi Minis with the wind up windows and I think for a brief time, on the South African ones too.

I am fitting the elf hornet door pockets to my mk3. The ones that drop down to the front. Those plates look like they may fit

I don't think the commercial Minivan and Pickup had any kick plates fitted as standard?
