they might scowl at cable ties a bit mate, and since it's a flip front, Mr average MOT man is already not 100% on yourside lol, so he might not be best pleased.

Why don't you buy a washer bottle clamp ad bottle from another mini e.g. a clubman ,..then you can attatch it to the bulkhead.

Should be able to forge one yourself? Its simply 1 plate of metal angled inwards to allow the washer bottle to slot into it from the top...then just bolt that to the bulkhead...or zip tie that as well :-

I can't see anywhere in the MOT manual where it says it could possibly be an MOT fail. The only thing I can think of, and this would be extremely harsh of them, is that if they felt the washer bottle was insufficiently secured, meaning it could fall off and there fore you would not be able to clear your windscreen (an MOT fail).

If your that worried ring your local MOT man and ask him (why do people never go to the source?).

Don't quote me on this, but I *think* you may have to be able to see where the level is on the bottle, so if you can do this on a bike drinks bottle, it should be fine.

When your thirsty do you climb to the top of the nearest mountain? Sometimes, it's just easier! :-

Yep, insecure would be the possible issue. But to be honest, I don't think I would have failed it unless it was loose. At the end of the day, zip ties are used to secure all sorts of items in todays world as they are cheap and easy. If they are good enough to hold a CV gaiter in place, they are good enough for a washer bottle!
