My car is in the bodyshop now getting a new wing and a-panel.

the chappy i bought it off swore it was resprayed BMW blue, but i have never seen any BMW's sprayed this colour except maybe the old motorsport ones??

Sorry, but someone was bound to say it!

Best to take it to a Auto oaint shop and get them to colour match it. It's hard to tell off an internet piccy.

Looks like trophy blue to me, but they did do M3 beemers in a similar colour too

not standard mini colour thats for sure according to Mini-Colours, errr pfff halfords trip and check their "BMW Blue" against say a patch on the inside of your boot to verify?

A proper paint shop or motor factors would be able to match the paint to the car and make it. so it does'nt actually matter what colour it is.

yeah i hope they can colour match it, but the chap doing my car uses one of his mtes to paint the car, i doubt its a BINI colour as i think it was sprayed before the BINI was invented, it kinda looks like that trophy blue, but the closest off the shelf colour i found was a ford blue!

i just hope they do a good job on it!

well someone kindly reversed into it a month ago so its having a new drivers wing and a panel courtesy of direct line insurance.
i just hope it comes back the way i want it to.

If it's an insurance job, you must make sure you are happy with it. If not, get em to redo it!!!!

i havent i'm afraid. you could try auto trader, look for 3 series m3s, around 96-99 model year i think.....

dont think it is montreal blue. My TR7 was montreal blue and was darker than that.

Take off a small panel (or use one that was knocked off! :w00t: ) and go to a paint match place, they have the technology...... :-
