And the newer version seems to be called Wet Start

https://www.ebay.co....cZUdi:rk:2:pf:0

Wet start was a dispersant to get rid of damp once it had got in;  Damp start was sealant to keep the damp out in the first place.

going by the description, it still forms a protective coating like damp start?

http://www.autoparts...tart-300ml.html

I saw that, tried to buy it but my virus scanner blocked it (and not just from my PC)

Looks to be because the web site is still http instead of https. Recent browser updates have started to stop users from getting to http sites to protect them. If your purchasing on http any info you type into the forms will be sent in plain text and so can be 'sniffed' during its travels over the web. Those sniffing would be looking for passwords and cc details that they could reuse or use to create a clone card. The web site could be genuine, it could be a small independent who hasn't got around to changing to https (although https still isn't 100% garunteed safe as hackers are now also using https). There's a phone number on the site, maybe order over the 'phone.

For rally cars is is common to use a non-conductive silicone grease to seal the coil, distributor, plug caps and ignition wiring. On my car I simply 'plaster' it on before any wet event and have never had a problem, even when driving through deep fords and on water-soaked forest tracks.
