There is another fusebox just infront of the ECU, on the same bracket as the ECU. Careful when removing it, the clips break off very easily.

Just follow the wires from the bulkhead plug and see where they all go. it is quite straightforward.

Hi all can you still get a wiring loom for the mini mpi, I’ve been told there’s 2 looms in it body harness and engine harness, I can’t see a way of separating them ? As I only want to replace the engine harness any advice appreciated
Try Southlake minis for the loom

Southlakes has had this loom on Ebay or awhile. It is expensive, but I doubt one could find another new old stock version. Used ones pop up every now and then.

Keep looking on eBay and the Mini Facebook groups, there ones pop up quite regularly, you just need a ½ decent one that hasn’t been aged in an engine bay.
They updated the Mini loom n SPI / MPI away from the old school Lucas system so you have the 2 fuse boxes, the distribution one to all the individual circuits in the cab and a main 4 big fuse one at the front left of the engine bay attached to the same bracket as the ecu. The loom in the engine bay is simple, start at the big plug behind the air box and work your way forward disconnecting as you go. It’s wise to label all the plugs and take pictures o help you place everything on the reassembly.
