Hi All

I have a 93 rover mini and the wipers wont turn off ?

heres what i have done so far

changed the park switch twice (two brand new ones)

Changed the wiper stork twice (1 brand new one, one old one)

Got the wiring correct on the park switch. checked and checked again ??

But the thing wont shut off just keeps going until ignition is off.

any ideas before i hit it with my best hammer !!!!!

been at it now for 2 days.

cheers

Paul

Unplug the stalk and see if they still run. This will determine if the fault is in the stalk or not.

or

Remove the parking switch from the motor but leave it plugged in , press in and hold the button on the back ,motor should stop.

If motor still runs with both of these options its a short in the loom.

It will be the park switch on the motor.

Hi TWF and Mini Mad

Thanks for your help with this issue,

Finally found the fault !!!!

It was the wiper stalk

Not an easy find as i first changed the stalk from a spare set i had in the box,

Problem still happened so bought a brand new from minispares still nothing same issue

Spent a few hours tracing the wires and the fault logically and it all pointed at the stalk

so borrowed my mates stalk to try and BINGO its fine now so problem solved

Thanks for your help guys nice to have someone the other end of the computer to help

hope i can assist you sometime

cheers

paul
