Seen worse.
What will they put the Mini up against I wonder? Hard to see how it'll be a fair competition, maybe they'll have to weld on a couple of sills to up the component count?

Not very well produced to be honest and would've been nice to see them actually drive the car instead of just starting the engine...

Interesting premise, but i'd have preferred if they just brough Scrapheap Challenge back.

Wonder if elf 'n safety did for challenge? Just think of junkyards they could have if they relocated to India or the Far East - if they can do it for Love Island etc.
Agree with you Sam, sounds good at first, but filming 3 monkeys with their hands down the back of an engine block ain't going to be easy. Especially as they're supposed to be in too much of a hurry for retakes and setting up camera shots.

scrapheap had a couple of experts step in between them "finishing" and the final race/challenge. which from what I heard would involve a few days of work to get the things running and decent enough for them to have a proper finale.
Caught the last half hour and was distinctly underwhelmed.+1 on bringing back Scrapheap Challenge.Sure it was contrived but was no worse for that.

i suspect they'd need to use the same trick in this show if they expected the contestants to actually drive the cars they'd thrown together...

I’ve known Colin Corke since the early 1990s, still find him patronising, him reading vw Beetle facts for a book was the finish of it for me, far better to have included ‘proper’ marque experts.
Agree with other comments about scrap heap challenge etc being a better tv format.
Perhaps we’ve been spoilt with the likes of car sos, Ant Anstead and Ed China’s tv programmes, and of course the specialists content on utube with Dave Jaguar etc.
We need Ed China back on tv, without the fat man, this would make great viewing.
