This is a chance to list all of the modifications that you have done to your mini (if you can rember them all)

Mine are:

1979 Austim mini Special shell.
1300 gt engine
electric ignition
cooper cooling system
ges folwed head
polly bushes all around
gas suspenstion
group a rally shock mounts
heavy duty tie rods
back seats removed
full 7 point roll cage
cobra monaco s seats
4 point TRS harnesses
drum to disk converstion
ebc drilled and groved disks
finned drums
ebc pads
rally havy duty shoes
2 spoke deep dish stering wheel
group a exhaust raised and shortened
beck seats and doors cut out
removable mk 1 grill
mk 1 bumpers and overriders
towing eyes

no carpet, headlining, doorcards or rear seats.

It would be hard to remember all of them, but lots and lots

although next modification is a quick wash ready for winter hibernation..

then i took it all off and stripped the car ready for my project
(still waiting to start it lol)

Erm.... ive spent about 10 grand... which is probably why im completely skint.

If i start writing the list, by the time i get to the end i will have probably updated, replaced or bolted something new onto the car....

Coming soon.....

Cabriolet conversion, Flamed paintwork, Cream leather interior, ICE... and finally get that nitrous system up and running!!!!!

I must be sad; as I’ve got a folder of ALL the receipts and lists of parts I’ve bought, even down to spare fuses and bulbs. No way am I adding it all up though.

Body,
Drivers front wing
Both a panels
Drivers flinch panel, scuttle, support panel, hinge panel and corner of doorstep
Both Doors replaced
Various patches at rear end
Chrome rings for indicators, bumpers, mirrors, roof aerial, wipers grommets, washers, roof trim and boot hinges
Spot lamps
Halogen headlamp conversion
New black minispecial wheel arches
New front windscreen and all new rubbers, seals and locking strips (no more leaks)
New rear fog lamp
Various stickers
Pair of new number plats yet to be fitted.
Various numbers of primer, and silver spray cans, body filler seam sealer and hammerite.

Engine,
3 new coils
Set of ht leads
3 heater taps
2 temp senders
All new bushes and mounts (nice and tight)
All new hoses
New alternator
Up rated water pump
New plastic fan
New radiator
New clutch, primary oil seal and bearing
New clutch master and slave cylinders
Braded full-length clutch hose
Unleaded cylinder head with valves, rockers and push rods along with various gaskets ad seals
New fuse box, relays, various bits of wire, cable ties (lots) and electrical tape and more hammerite.

Suspension / brakes,
All new bushes and mounts
Reconditioned radius arms
New rear subfame
All new brake assemblies both front and rear, comprising of
Hoses, callipers disks, cylinders, shoes etc
New front tie bars
Hi-lows and knuckle joints
New donuts all-round
Gmax dampers all-round
New front and rear wheel bearings
And more various coats of more hammerite.
Wheels/tyres,
Replacement 25 hubcaps
2 new tyres on the front
2 new steelies, old ones were bent.
And more spay cans

Interior / ice,
Red carpets, dash liners, rear wheel arch covers, speaker bard and parcel shelf
New 13” steering wheel
Chrome 5-switch plate
Choke and heater knob logos replaced with 10p coins (heads and tails)
New mini gear knob
Toy mini25 for dashboard
Replacement red seat belts for the rear
Boot lid board (soon to be coved along with a boot liner kit)
New Kenwood head unit
Pair of 5” in metro door bins
Pair of 6x9s under the rear seat
