The Gap depends on your Igninition System, if you have a points system you want it to be about 0,7mm.
If you have Points and constantly run High RPM i would even consider a smaller gap.
If you have electronic Ignition without Points you can consider going to 1mm which helps with cold starts and overall performance but puts a higher stress on your ignition System.
I would run the 6 only on a standard car. If you have a tuned car i would allways go for the 7's because if you are running lean in any Condition there is less risk, and the 6 will get way to hot if you give it a thrashing.
I have a 1330 with 115HP and i use 7's for normal use and 8s for trackdays and stuff.

Took it out last night with the 6’s gapped to 0.8 and it was jumping quite a bit when under load. Stopped, put the 7’s in, gapped to whatever they were out the box and it ran fine, much smoother under load. Took them out and 1 + 4 were sooty, 2 + 3 were light brown. It does need a remap on the rolling road, it’s been about 4 years since last setup, 6 years since total engine rebuild with addition of s/c.

Thanks for that. I am running Eaton super charger with twin injectotrs (not mpi, custom) and emerald ecu with ford coil pack. It was dyno at 149 after it was built a few years back. It’s not a daily driver, but does get a good spanking when out!!

I too failed to see that s/c meant supercharged.
