Ah that's interesting. Being a Mayfair did it have a rev counter?

Yes it had a rev counter too. I think it was only the early 12" wheeled Mayfairs that had 120 mph speedos and I think orange needles were fairly unusual too.
I used to work on a lot of 70's & 80's minis during the 1980's and 1990's and was sadly a bit of a geek regarding some of these details.

Thanks for the replies

It's clear to me they're not GT dials and have likely always been without a rev counter

I'm just surprised they made some dual setups with the 120 speedo

I would suspect that the two clocks from a GT were fitted into a later housing probably due to PCB damage. It may be just the photo but the hole for the main beam light doesn't appear to be there, is there any clocks with the light in a different position?

I'm not up to speed with all UK models, but I would think that all the 2 dial clock sets were either 90 or a few may have had 100 mph speedo faces. The 100 mph ones are quite rare. I know the 1275 GT, the GTS and our Clubman GT had 120 mph clocks, but were all 3 dial.

My sisters 1985 mini Mayfair (12" wheels and clubman type dash) had 120 mph speedo and had orange needles. Think all the clubman / GT instruments had white needles.

They actually came on both white and orange, though, most had the white ones.
