Hey guys.. update on my progress!
After removing the cam and getting a good look with the inspection lamp and trial fitting the dizzy drive, while looking through where the cam is inserted. It became clear that something in the block was stopping the drive being inserted. I got a 1/2 inch drill bit and lightly worked the slot by hand. reinstalled the cam and dizzy drive and now it all marries up nicely!
Must have been a small sharred of metal on the lip of the slot stopping the drive from slotting in.
Hope this makes sense!
