My 1964 850 still had the spring clutch in it when I pulled the engine out last year. It was quite a surprise!

I've taken loads of photos of the dismantled parts and end end of the crank.

According to "anatomy of the classic mini " there should be an oil seal in my flywheel.1960 spring clutch... there's definitely a space for one but no sign of a seal. The chap at minispares advised there isn't one??

If it has a wet primary gear then most definable yes, it would have had an Oil Seal in the Flywheel.

As far as I am aware, these seals are NLA but your friendly Bearing Shop might be able to sort you for one. They do need to be a High temp Seal.
