Just a quick question. I'm putting my new recond 1100 head on my 998 a+. Is 50 lbs the right torque setting I should be doing?
Cheers Brad

It depends on what head studs you have ;-

Do them up in at least 2 stages (so 1st stage at 50% of the torque value then go all the way). Be sure to oil the threads and also under the nuts.

Just fabricated this bracket with a little help from my welder guy.  It spreads the load over the top and bottom of the bulk head.  I still have to drill the two holes for the heater hoses.  I also have a back plate on the vertical bulk head.

Using new ARP studs, I torque to 40 ft/lbs. Run to temp and retorque to same. Seems to work for me.
