King Dick do nice ratchet spanners in AF, not the cheapest but quality stuff and made in the UK. You can buy all their spanners and socketry items individually and I feel its very well priced.

to be honest just buy a set that covers your needs.

 

as things break replace with better. the tools that you the most will be the the ones you want to last. so 7/16 1/2 and 9/16 sockets and spanners. more that one of each is good. quality ratchets are a must.

dont get sucked down the 1/2" drive path. the 3/8 is much more usable.

 

also dont expect to keep them in the box they came in. you will out grow it fast as you keep finding nuts and bolts a size you dont have.

I bought a couple of sets of socket rails .. originally they were in my tool box but now they are on the wall! Real James May!!
