When you take the airbag out, DO NOT STORE IT UPSIDE-DOWN! in the unlikely event it does go off, if it's upside-down, it will shoot thru the roof and beyond. If you keep it the right way up it will just inflate and make a noise. ?
Like all "fiddling" with airbags, disconnect the battery completely for a minimum of 30 min. Once out, you can reconnect to move/test the car but you must redisconnect the battery, completely, for another 30 min.
Just treat the airbag with care and remember it's a small bomb inside, so whenever you manipulate it try not to have your face right in front of it as you disconnect or connect it.
Sounds dangerous I know, but as long as you are gentle and take your time it's nothing major. I take out/in hundreds of them, no big deal.
The rotary connector counts turns, do try not to move or turn it without the steering wheel in place or you'll have to re center it. ?
Last one I saw it cost 150£ so I just repaired mine by using one of the unused circuits on it, but that meant taking it appart.
I think the ones on the mgf is the same part so might be a cher per option?
Also try MiniJosh92 on here, he might have one on one he is breaking.
