please see picture below. I need to route this fresh air duct inside the car however there is no hole on the side of my engine bay to get this duct into the wheel well arch?

I have the  normal radiator type vented slat panel without the duct hole see pic attached.

can someone please clarify how to get this duct in?

It doesn't go inside the car like the drivers side, the snorkel end sits behind the grille, in the wheel arch side of the inner wing.

ya sorry mate wrong use of words. I know the duct doesn't go inside the car.

from my understanding the snorkel sits behind the grill in the engine bay near the radiator and then somehow goes from the engine bay into the wheel well. and then from there to the vent through the provided vent hole in the body.

My issue is im confused how the duct from the snorkel gets through the wall between engine bay and wheel arch well - there is no hole in this wall compared to the other side of the engine bay.

The intake snorkel goes in the wheel arch under the headlamp bowl. the duct goes from here up to the top of the wheel arch, over the carbon cannister and expansion tank (if you have them) then onto the plastic fitting on the flitch panel. The duct doesnt pass through the wing from the engine bay at all.

thanks for clearing that up. I just found the following pic on google. It seems there are actually two different types of snorkels? one that sits in the wheel arch only and one that sits in the engine bay and comes through via the wing.  who would have thought lol

The both locate in the wing. nothing on the passenger side goes in the engine bay.

There are two types because the 22 one is for cars with aux fans which bolt into the wing, the duct comes out the side to avoid the fan. the 21 type is for cars without an aux fan, the duct goes straight up because there is no fan to avoid

Doesn't the one on a clubman front go into the left side of the engine bay? (a bit like item 26 above but a more aerodynamic shape than the schematic shown?)

Edit - a bit like the right hand one but smaller/narrower IIRC

I had a clubman as my first mini (H reg aqua on hydro navy interior another one I should have kept.....)  but I'm buggered if I can remember that far back and never had a clubman/front since (or bothered to pay attention at the shows... O_O )

so to clarify where exactly does snorkels number 21 and 22 fit? and how are they fixed to the car if they are to be placed in the wheel arch on the passenger side?

If the car never had the fresh air vents originally there may (should?) be a plate over the hole but its screwed in from the front (self tapping screws behind the grille) - plate is behind the valance so inside the inner wing

I guess they were factory but whether they get put back if (WHEN!) the front valance is replaced.....depends how conscientious the repairer is.
