Hi Guys,
Well, I'll start by introducing myself:
My name's Sam, I live in Hainault, Essex - near Chigwell, if anyone knows the area.
I'm only 15 (Year 11 at High School) so I'm not yet a mini owner, although I'd hope to be fairly soon.
I have a very mechanical mind, having raced Radio Control vehicles competitively for nearly three years, having a part time job in a model shop (rebuilding and upgrading vehicles) and having an extensive knowledge of Nitro powered engines and their chassis.
I'm hopefully going to go on to study Motorsports Engineering, or Automobile Engineering at University, so should be able to carry on my passion for cars into my job.
With a little help from you folks, I should be another mini owner fairly soon!

My ideal mini would be the last version prior to the BMW Takeover - something between E and P reg would be great.

Cheers, and I hope to soon become an informative resource for the forums.

Sam

Hi Sam and welcome to tmf. You can't start too early in the mini game.

Welcome to The Mini Forum. :genius: Tis true what teapot says, its never too early to get a mini, especially if youre thinking of a project. Wish i had started on my mini when i was 15!

Hehe.
Unfortunately, It's gonna have to be planning and drawing board stuff for a while, as where I live, we only have one garage, which houses one of our current cars.
Dad's said that I'm not going to get the garage.... so.... darn.. :P
I think I'll have to look into renting a council garage :genius:|
Cheers,
Sam

There have been discussions on here about renting garages, so your experience with a council garage (ease of renting, distance away, cost, with or without power/water etc) will be useful, please.
