
8m73 cam?

does anyone recognise the cam grind mark 8m73?
ive contacted all the local(New Zealand) grinders and no-one seems to recognise it.
any help greatly appreciated.

Its nice to know somone else has seen this cam though!
mine is spider drive with 1/2 inch lobes.
im hoping for "lumpy as hell" as my static compression is around 11.7:1 ...

This was supposed to be a torque filled daily! but im going to need some serous cam action to run on anything less than avgas.
i Think im going to end up doing some head work and oppening up the chambers a bit.
fuel is C**p down here, we hav only just got 98ron grrrrrr!
oh and i will be running a knock sensor!

it ran fine of 98ron/optimax, pinked a little on 95 but only when pushed hard at low revs!! i jsut didnt push it!

i had an 1100 running 11.5!! they dont arf go like stink!!
heheh well its an 1100 bored to 68mm so it dam well should do..hehehehe
MG cam? like a metro cam - 544ish?
if that worked then hopfully mine will too

then ive got to think about induction...
this engine is getting more pricey by the minute

i just used the single 1 1/2" su carb with a stub stack!! easy to tune and setup!!!!
id love to try boring mine out to 68mm tho!! jsut to see what it'd pull!! its plodding about in my metro atm and its getting a little worn so it could probably do with a re-build!

im going for torque, although that depends on what cam i get...
i was thinking twin Hs4's with stubs, or a webber if i can afford.
