Had another small parcel arrive last Thursday.

Which needed prepping for paint by keying it with 120 grit paper which took quite a while.

Then on Saturday and Sunday I managed to get 2 coats of epoxy primer on all the panels, so can now be stored without having to worry about it getting covered in rust. I forgot how time consuming painting is, all the prep (even if it's not proper paint finishing), cleaning panels, painting and then cleaning the gun afterwards!

And thats it for a while probably while I get on with the saloon engine and other bits and pieces.

Funnily enough there is and isn't, It was in storage up until December 2023 as the garage was sold, I welded in bracing into the van and stuck it onto a frame so we could move it to my Nans garage (that we had to fit a new garage door to and lots of other work). Unfortunately my nan passed away last year so lost storage again in December 2024. We brought it home along with another mini I have and the van has sat outside since.

Now the big update is that I sold it yesterday which is quite weird that you posted about updates 2 days before

I was hoping to have basically a new van when it was done as you can tell with the amount of panels I bought and spending the time to ensure there was no rust before epoxy priming them and had a lot of ideas for it, but with it living outside and having no where to work on it i can't see it getting started anytime soon, especially trying to keep my saloon on the road and trying to get my Marcos on the road. Also getting decent parts seems to be getting harder and with the standard I wanted the van I don't think I would have been 100% happy with it.
