Hi folks

just wondered how I put a price on this to sell it.

All welding done (I will do the scuttle next week and tidy it up all round with seam sealer before putting it up for sale).

lots of new panels, including both rear quarters.  Includes doors and bootlid but not a bonnet

comes with v5.

I have seen rotten shells on eBay but don’t recall seeing anything that’s ready for paint.

cheers

Mike

This Mk2 shell ready for paint below is worth more than your later shell but might help you with your valuation:-

Maybe £2500-£3000 depends one how straight it is and how well you present it. It’s ready to start bodywork but certainly not close to paint.

It’s a MK4 so you’re not going to have people beating down you do like you would if it was a MK1/2.

Thank you for all the replies.

the £2,500 that Tupers suggests has inspired me to crack on with tidying it up next week!

Why £9K when you can buy a BMH shell for less and that includes 20% VAT?

It really depends on how well the work has been done. Heritage shells aren’t always as nicely put together as you might hope so a restored painted shell can be more cost effective depending on what you’re going for.

That said I think they’ll struggle to get £9k for a late shell in a non standard colour way over in Estonia.
