Iv'e had the same machinist for the rebore, crank regrind and deck skimming. But a different engineering shop do the con rods as mine was not able to balance them.

24.66cc head volume required to get your 9.75:1 Bill. Can you take out the pistons and get 0.030” shaved off? That’s would save the head mods.
Yes that's what I have worked out now.
I could still get the pistons done but I am discussing and taking advice on head work.

Re-cap everything is assembled, I have re-checked the deck height and have some concerns.
Measurements run from timing side to flywheel side.
Piston 1 - 4 and 7 thou
Piston 2 - 1 and 6 thou
Piston 3 - 6 and 6 thou
Piston 4 - 1 and 6 thou
As you can see two of the pistons have more than 4 thou difference end to end. These are the timings side of piston 2 and the timing side of piston 4?
Measurements made using the flat edge of a steel ruler and feeler gauges in line with the gudgeon pins. Pistons at TDC using a DTI gauge.
With the ruler across the entire block I can only get a 0.001” feeler underneath so the block is flat.
The crank was ground +10 when I had the rebore locally and the MED checked the crank and balanced it.
Rods were balanced by a local engine shop and the big ends were checked and honed to ensure circular.
With two pistons being 0.001” over tolerance should I continue with the build and if not what would be the recommended course of action.
This will be a nippy road engine with an AC RS Cam Stage 2 head, stage 1 kit.
Thanks in advance.
