My EFI fuel pump draws 10 amps,I would personally use a relay every time.I do not know the pump driver current capability personally but a relay is cheap reliable protection,or am I just cautious.Steve..
I think we're at cross purposes here. I fully agree it needs a relay, I fitted a relay to the feed but it's controlled by the ignition switch through the inertia switch. I think what you're suggesting is control it through the earth control on the ECU. I'm happy with the way I've done it but obviously you have a different view on it and I accept that's the way you have done it. How did you manage to trigger the relay from just the earth wire completing the circuit?
