In a previous life in IT one of the acronyms we used was

 

PEBCAK - Problem Exists Between Chair And Keyboard - User error

 

for me at the weekend it was

 

PEBSASW - Problem Exists Between Seat and Steering Wheel - User error

 

So the ignition problem was me disconnecting and reconnected the battery during the testing and the immobiliser getting bent out of shape which I hadn't realised so once I actually reset the alarm. No more ignition issue! 

 

Got some new components indicator switch, hazard switch, indicator light holders and plenty of fuses so let the fun continue!
