Wooden lifting block for the Mini front subframe below as detailed in 1960’s BMC workshop manuals. It’s shaped to suit the angle of the front subframe cross-member and locates between the tie rod mountings. The front of the car can then be safely jacked up following the workshop manual’s instruction:-

"Lift the front end of the car with the jack positioned under the centre of the front cross-member and with a specially shaped wooden block interposed between the jack pad and the cross-member."

I've seen these before, I think there was someone on here who made some, but not in the UK.

 

Does anyone know of anyone who makes these? I'd like one, but my woodworking skills are shocking, so I'm not going to attempt to make one!
