I've come back to the Mini scene after a long time out of it and I am really surprised and disappointed with the quality of parts around nowadays. Terrible cheap plastic "rubber" boots and seals, bushes that split within a few months, wafer thin weak kevlar hoses, cracked tensioners, leaking heater taps, poorly formed manifolds, badly fitting calipers, leaking master cylinders, and more and more.
I'm getting a normal car back on the road and about to embark on a full restoration but the hassle dealing with returning crap parts really dampens my enthusiasm as it's such a waste of time.

Are Parts Really So Bad Nowadays?
