hi Im sig..or jonathan..brit been living in spain for half my life..a couple of months ago a bought a wreck of a 1300 that an old boy started fixing (with the help of a rivet gun!!)..plus a ton of spares..we got it started (spewed out mice droppings from the exhaust) and now starting to properly weld up the floor panels and put it back together...got some revos with period dunlops..and getting excited..thanks for having me. i´ll stick some pix on when i´ve figured out how !?

Looks like a Mk3. 1969 to 76.

Changeover year to mk4. Steering wheel's on the wrong side. You'll have to go around roundabouts the wrong way with that. :D

That's not just any old Mini- it's a 1976 Authi Mini  ;-)

     .... & looking at that servo it could even be an Authi Mini-Cooper 1300

Seems to have an A+ engine judging by the alternator bracket.

rGpNE1T.jpgand that gentlemen is why i´m here..to me it just looks like a dirty engine...! yep its probably authi..spanish built no?..(i assume thats a bad thing?) it has front discs which surprised me..does that give any clues..i was told a metro engine swap?

Yup that looks like a genuine (Spanish Built) Authi , i'm fairly sure they retained the early UK Mk3 seat back with the removable panel -if it's got that then it's 100%.

(& as far as i'm concerned that's a good thing, much rarer than a bog-standard Longbridge car)

The VIN is certainly Authi they ended with a Z, & as whistler has pointed out that is a non-Authi replacement engine.

It's painted in a Mini-Cooper colour scheme but ADO20/2s E Deluxe appears to mean it's a Mini 1000 E Deluxe -but that was replaced by the Mini 1000LS in 1974 :unsure:

heres a pic of the rear seat area (old pic..removeable panel doesnt ring any bells..you mean it opens out to the boot area ?
