Hey guys! How do you identify the number of teeth on a spindle in the speedo set up??

Count them.

I think you could tell by the colour back in the day but this may no longer be the case, but of course to see the colour you have to take it out anyway, so once its out... Yep.. count...

Just look at the end and count the teeth. Colour no good here as you are asking about the metal bit.

If you can see the end . It should look like this. Like a 7 pointed star. A 6 tooth will have a 6 pointed star.[attachment=211497:275DBEFE-55B0-4BC5-A4DF-0F818E619A4C.jpeg
If you are changing your final drive you will also need the correct number of teeth on the plastic pinion.
