Misfire

The other day I was driving home and all of a sudden i had pretty severe misfire ;)

went under the bonnet and took the lead nearest to the rad off and held it next to the plug but there was no spark, then i look down and the spark was jumping from the coil lead to the wiring of the headlamps!!! :w00t:

I moved the cables up a bit and its fine for now! But why on earth was it jumping!? and it must have been a good 1cm jump!

Do you mean the HT leads running from the coil ?

If so the insulation has perished so you need to replace them ;)

New ones!?! ;) Ive just given her a service bout a 2 months or so ago!
