Apologies for the constant questions about the rear windows.

Unfortunately someone else took mines out and I cant see another to get an answer.

The "pop out" catch side - does the catch just screw on to the roof pillar liner section and nothing else? What screws are used to affix the catch?

Thanks.

best checking on the somerford or minispares website, they're a great resource even just for putting stuff back together

I presume you mean the opening mechanism for the 1/4 windows and the c pillar trim is fitted and has no previous holes in it. Behind the c pillar trim where the hinge will go is a raised square metal section welded on the outer panel for a couple of self tapping screws to attach the hinge. I think I used m3.5 self tappers. Mine had holes in the square section for the hinge screws but in the wrong place so I redriled the holes very carefully.

The screws on my 72 are a dome headed countersunk positive self tapper screwed into the bracket on the C pillar.

Brilliant guys thanks, I ended up using 1/2 inch self tapping number 10s. seem to have done the job in securing the catch. Thanks again.
