Where did you manage to find 4 new centre caps from, they are becoming a struggle to find.

Could I also ask where you had the emblem for the kad quickshift from too ?

Emblem from this guy on eBay… he made it up from my design

254946662753 Item number

Got caps off eBay nos £35 for all 4 … was lucky to find/ win

Hope this helps

Thanks but unfortunately that numbers not coming up with any eBay sellers/products

I also just decided that the banded steelies I have aren't for me and I prefer the wheels I've already got.
Annoyingly, atleast it saves me having to track down centres

If you know anyone else looking for some, I've got some 12x7 steelies with tyres made by Essex banded wheels

Wow! That is in fantastic condition! My parents had a 1985 1300Hle in silver, so this brings back memories, as it was the first car I had unofficial driving lessons in.

My Oldman managed to write it off unfortunately, and wouldn't buy back the salvage. I wanted the engine.

I remember him swapping over to earlier metro wheels when the metric (I think) tyres got too expensive/hard to track down.

Cheers ….. I can only dream of a 1275 ….. my lowly 998 will have to work that bit harder ( most 1275s ended up in minis …. Well in my era they did)

Old off …. New on

Bit of a catch up …. Other members of fleet - and other additions to fleet soaked up time and money .

But managed some jobs

Complete gearbox rebuild … along with clutch, oil pump, fuel pump and lines blah blah kerching etc etc … now have second gear.

Still faffing with suspension … lower for now until I can get cans refurbed / regassed

Have decided to keep radio for now - just need an aerial …. Very retro having it drop in and out of different stations while on a drive

A little preview / sneak peak of what’s happened

These are the winter steels from mini fitted with snow tyres / these will stay on until next spring … when the banded metro steels will go on ( if finished)

Can I ask what you painted the sill with? I'll have to do mine before the year's out.
