I am in the process of rebuilding my A+ 1275cc engine again, after fuel went into the oil after a mechanical fuel pump failure! I bought a new camshaft from Wood and Pickett 5 years ago during the last rebuild and I am unable to find out what the brand is in order to be able determine what the specified timing is for this cam..
According to the original invoice it is a WPA266 Camshaft Fast Road 1275 266 profile new, but no indication what brand i.e. Kent...
The reason for asking is because I want to find out what the specified timing was for this cam.. I did time the cam 5 years ago when i rebuilt the engine but forgot what the timing was and the machine shop lost the woodruff key when the engine went in for crankshaft polishing and cylinders re-honing so I can't work out what it was and need to order a new woodruff key (ordered a few keys with a variation of offsets as well as a STD one for a benchmark)
I know with the Kent 266 cam, it is timed to 106 degrees and was wondering if this also applies to my 266 cam as well?
Hope this makes sense!
Many thanks!
