Currently have this green MPI shell that I am rebuilding for the owner. Came to be as a stripped bare shell. All the usual kind of panels needed for an MPI - full front end, scuttle, sills, door steps, rear panel etc etc...

 

As it came in -

 

 

Front end off -

 

 

Drivers inner wing was pretty bad so that has gone -

 

 

Door step off -

 

 

New one in -

 

 

New inner wing and A post on -

Door re-skinned -

Scuttle panel and front end on. All lined up well with little messing around which was nice for a change -

I have been super busy most of this year so been a while since I updated this but have been getting there slowly with it.

 

Door steps, inner sills, seat crossmember, bottom of rear quarters, outer sills all replaced or repaired -

Panel work almost finished. Hole in the boot floor for fuel lines repaired and all replaced around subframe mounting points and rear edge. Battery box, valance closing panels and valance replaced. Rear panel from below screen replaced -

Been a while since I updated this but, hopefully by the end of this week the shell will be ready to go for paint. Underside protected with sills and valances body colour then a lot of rubbing down to strip the exterior to bare metal ready for filler work, seam sealer and some etch primer -

is that red oxide primer you are using? top work mate!

Thanks. Yeah I do usually put some red oxide primer on the fresh metal and welds mainly just to protect it before the shell gets painted.
